Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at www.thecrystalcandydish.com (the “Website”) and your purchase and use of services provided by The Crystal Candy Dish LLC (“The Crystal Candy Dish,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our custom candy buffet tables, dessert displays, and related event décor (collectively, the “Services”). The Crystal Candy Dish
By accessing or using the Website and/or booking our Services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website or book our Services.
These Terms are in addition to any written proposal, invoice, or service agreement provided to you by The Crystal Candy Dish. In the event of a conflict, the specific written agreement or invoice for your event will supersede all.
1. Services
The Crystal Candy Dish provides custom-designed candy buffet tables, dessert displays, and event décor for various celebrations, including but not limited to weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, corporate events, and other special occasions. The Crystal Candy Dish
We focus on styling, curating, and presenting pre-made candies and, where applicable, pre-made desserts supplied by trusted third-party providers. We do not manufacture candy or desserts ourselves. The Crystal Candy Dish
The details of your specific Services (such as theme, color palette, décor selections, event date, location, guest count, and pricing) will be described in your proposal, quote, or invoice.
2. Service Area & Travel
We are based in and primarily serve Central New Jersey, but we may travel to locations outside our primary service area at our discretion. Travel beyond our standard service area may incur additional mileage or travel fees, which will be communicated to you in advance. The Crystal Candy Dish
We reserve the right to decline events that are outside of our service capacity or logistical capabilities.
3. Booking, Deposits & Payments
3.1 Quotes and Proposals
Any quote or proposal provided by The Crystal Candy Dish is typically valid for a limited period (for example, 7–14 days) as indicated on the quote. After that period, pricing and availability may change.
3.2 Deposits
To secure your event date, a non-refundable deposit may be required. The amount and due date of the deposit will be specified in your proposal or invoice. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and acknowledged by us.
3.3 Remaining Balance
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
The remaining balance is typically due no later than a specified number of days prior to the event (for example, 7–14 days).
If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
3.4 Methods of Payment
We may accept payment by cash, check, bank transfer, credit or debit card, or other methods as specified by us from time to time. We may use third-party payment processors; you agree to comply with their terms and conditions.
3.5 Pricing & Changes
All prices are subject to change without notice, except for accepted and confirmed bookings. Changes or additions requested by you after confirmation (such as increased guest count, additional décor, or upgraded packages) may result in additional charges.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
4.1 Client Cancellations
If you cancel your event:
The deposit is generally non-refundable.
Any additional payments may be refundable or partially refundable depending on when the cancellation is made and any costs already incurred on your behalf (such as ordered supplies, custom items, or labor).
The specific cancellation and refund terms for your booking may be outlined in your invoice or service agreement.
4.2 Rescheduling
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests, subject to our availability. If we are able to reschedule, payments already made may be applied to the new date, less any non-recoverable costs. If we are not available on your new preferred date, the cancellation policy will apply.
4.3 Cancellations by The Crystal Candy Dish
In the rare event that we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (such as severe illness, emergencies, or force majeure), we will:
Notify you as soon as practicable; and
Offer a rescheduled date where possible, or
Issue an appropriate refund of amounts paid, subject to any partial Services already rendered or non-recoverable costs incurred.
5. Client Responsibilities
By booking our Services, you agree to:
Provide accurate event information, including date, time, venue address, guest count, and any relevant venue rules or restrictions.
Secure all necessary permissions from the venue (including access times, set up/break down instructions, and any required approvals for décor or food displays).
Ensure safe and suitable conditions at the venue, including stable surfaces for tables, appropriate coverings when required, and access to electricity if needed for lighting or display elements.
Notify us in advance of any special requirements, restrictions, or preferences that may affect the design and setup.
You are responsible for the conduct of your guests and for ensuring children are supervised around candy and décor.
6. Allergies, Dietary Restrictions & Food Safety
6.1 No Allergy Guarantees
The Crystal Candy Dish uses pre-made candies and desserts sourced from third-party suppliers. While we may curate items labeled as sugar-free, Kosher, gluten-free, nut-free, or otherwise, we cannot independently verify the accuracy of those labels and cannot guarantee the absence of allergens or cross-contamination in any food items displayed. The Crystal Candy Dish
6.2 Client Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
All events with food items carry an inherent risk of allergen presence and cross-contamination. The Crystal Candy Dish
It is your sole responsibility to inform your guests, venue, and any other relevant parties about potential allergens and risks.
You are responsible for posting or communicating appropriate warnings and notices regarding allergens and dietary restrictions.
The Crystal Candy Dish is not liable for any adverse reactions, illness, or injury arising from food consumption at or after your event.
7. Event Setup, Décor & Break-down
7.1 Setup & Styling
We will deliver, set up, and style the candy buffet table and/or dessert display in accordance with the agreed design and event schedule, subject to reasonable variations as needed based on venue conditions or product availability. The Crystal Candy Dish
We reserve the right to make design adjustments on the day of the event if necessary (for example, for safety reasons or due to last-minute venue constraints).
7.2 Equipment & Décor Ownership
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
All display items (such as jars, stands, platters, risers, signage, and decorative props) remain the property of The Crystal Candy Dish and are not to be removed from the venue by the Client or guests.
Any loss or damage to décor or equipment caused by the Client, guests, or other vendors may result in replacement or repair charges.
7.3 Break-down & Clean-up
We will return at or after the agreed event end-time to break down the display, collect our equipment and décor, and perform any agreed clean-up related to our setup. The Crystal Candy Dish
Any remaining candy or disposable items may be left with the Client at our discretion, provided safe storage and transport are available.
8. Photography, Testimonials & Marketing
We love to showcase our work. By booking our Services, you:
Grant The Crystal Candy Dish a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to photograph or video the candy tables, décor, and overall setup at your event; and
Authorize us to use those photos, videos, and written feedback or testimonials on our Website, social media (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), and promotional materials, provided that we do not share sensitive personal information without your consent. The Crystal Candy Dish
If you prefer those photos of your event, not be used for marketing, please let us know in writing prior to your event date, and we will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.
